小年也有南北差异：北方是腊月廿三，部分南方地区是腊月廿四。只不过，无论是哪一天，它都在提示我们新年的到来。

US filmmaker Theodore Melfi shot the 8-minute video with an iPhone11 Pro and Apple CEO Tim Cook posted it on the account of his Weibo last Saturday. 1月10日，2020年的春运正式开启，这里面有没有你的身影呢？
2020年春运是近8年来阳历最早的春运，同时迎来了务工流、学生流、探亲流叠加的旅客出行高峰。2020年春运期间预测全国旅客发送量将达到约30亿人次，与2019年大致持平，略有增长。
30亿人次！难怪有外媒要用“史诗级（epic）”这样的形容词了！
国家发改委表示，今年春运从1月10日持续至2月18日，预计全国旅客发送量将达到约30亿人次，铁路旅客同比增长8%，民航增长8.4%，水路旅客增长9.6%。
From January 10 to February 18, the total number of trips is likely to hit 3 billion, slightly up from the travel rush last year, with an 8-percent growth in train trips, 8.4-percent increase in air trips and 9.6-percent hike in waterway trips.
今年的春运同样有更多亮点。
去年10月投入运营的北京大兴国际机场将大大缓解北京首都国际机场的压力。在春运期间，预计将迎来190万人次的旅客。
The Beijing Daxing International Airport, which became operational in October 2019, will take the pressure off the Beijing Capital International Airport. More than 1.9 million passenger trips are expected via the airport during the period.
根据携程网的数据，网站70%的用户选择在春运期间乘坐高铁动车，而购票的绝大多数都是80后、90后。春运的首次高峰预计将出现在1月21日，而回程客流高峰预计将出现在1月30日和2月9日。

The company's data showed that the majority of ticket buyers were born between 1980 and 1999. 今年，购买春运客票系统的时长每天延长30分钟，从6：00到23：30，购买时可能需要进行面部识别。而电子客票几乎覆盖中国所有高铁与城际铁路线路，所以乘客们在旅途前不必再获取纸质客票。
This year, the hours of China's online ticket system have been extended by 30 minutes each day of the Spring Festival travel rush from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and purchases may be verified by facial recognition. E-ticket services have also covered almost all high-speed and intercity rail in China beginning this year, so passengers will not need to collect paper tickets before their trip.

The Spring Festival travel rush appeared in the 1980s after rural laborers flocked into cities to find jobs. They could afford the time and money to go back home once a year for the Spring Festival family reunion. However, a reverse trend has emerged with increasing family gatherings in big cities, as the trips from urban workers' hometowns to big cities ahead of the festival are on the rise. Recent statistics from Trip.com showed that the platform's transportation orders to big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou one week prior to the Spring Festival have more than doubled year on year.
从2020年1月1日零时起，全国29个联网省份的487个省界收费站全部取消。电子收费设备的使用将提升收费站的通行效率。
China completed the removal of 487 expressway toll booths at provincial borders on January 1. Use of electronic toll-collection devices will improve traffic efficiency at toll gates.
