据美媒《今日美国》报道，当地时间8月11日，美国演员、加州前州长阿诺·施瓦辛格（Arnold Schwarzenegger）在接受美媒CNN记者比安娜·戈洛德里加（Bianna Golodryga）采访时，向仍然拒不接受疫情严重性的美国民众喊话，呼吁人们打疫苗、戴口罩、勤洗手、保持社交距离和听专家建议。他对那些认为佩戴口罩侵犯自己权利的美国人说，“去你的自由”。↓

谈到那些认为戴口罩侵犯了自己权利的“反口罩者”时，施瓦辛格毫不客气地批评道：“病毒就在这儿，它会杀死人，我们预防的唯一方法就是接种疫苗、戴口罩、保持社交距离、勤洗手，而不是去想‘我的自由受到了某种程度的侵犯’。不，去你的自由吧。”



“There is a virus here. It kills people. And the only way we prevented this is to get vaccinated, to wear masks, to do social distancing, washing your hands all the time, and not just to think about ‘well my freedom is being kind of disturbed here’. No, screw your freedom!”

施瓦辛格表示，自由伴随着义务和责任。我们不能只是强调“我有权做X，Y和Z”。当你影响到别人时，事情就变得严重了。



“Freedom comes obligations, and had responsibilities we cannot just say ‘I have the right to do x, y, and z’. When you affect other people, that is when you get serious.”

Then you kill someone else, and then it is you’re doing.”

“病毒也是一样的道理，你不能不戴口罩就出门，因为当你呼吸时，你会传染给其他人，然后他们就会感染甚至死亡。”

“So this is the same thing with the virus. You cannot go and not put the mask on, because when you breathe you can infect someone else. And you can infect someone that then gets sick and may die.”

Hundreds of millions of people took a personal sacrifice for the greater good of the country. ”

杰森还赞扬了中国人不同于西方的自由观，他认为这是战胜病毒的关键。“为了长远打算，牺牲短期的自由，换得现在的自由，现在中国到处都开放着。”


“They gave up a few freedoms for the long term. They'll get them back in the end, you know, where everywhere opens up again just like now.”

随后，杰森表示了对施瓦辛格的赞成和对中国做法的肯定，“施瓦辛格是对的，‘如果以伤害别人为代价，那去你的自由！’”。“看看中国人，无数中国人牺牲自己的自由，都是为了控制住疫情，德尔塔病毒的扩散。”

“Arnold Schwarzenegger is right. ‘Screw your freedoms if you are harming other people。’
Look at China, hundreds of millions of people have taken a personal sacrifice to try and stop this this virus, the delta virus.”

最后，他对美国反口罩者进行了批评，“看起来相当多的美国人是不愿意放弃自己的自由——这种短期的自由，他们可没想过长期的问题。他们就不想做，自私！！”

It seems like a lot of Americans, you know, they're not willing to give up a few freedoms. You know, short term. They don't want to do it, they're not even thinking about long term. They just don't want to do it. Selfish!!!
