Ren Ziwei scored two gold medals five days into the Beijing 2022. 

His first, which was also China's first, came on Feb 5 in the short-track speed skating mixed team relay. He claimed the second on Feb 7 in the men's 1,000 meters. 

在他拿下奥运金牌后，北京体育大学祝贺他夺冠发文表示：任子威“这份作业交得漂亮！”


任子威是北京体育大学研究生冠军班2021级学生，此前他因冬奥忙于训练，补交作业的事一度在网络刷屏。


24岁的任子威出生在冰雪之都哈尔滨。2004年，他开始接触滑冰，2014年，17岁的他加入了国家队。同年，在世界青年短道速滑锦标赛上，任子威在1500米和3000米接力中分别摘下一铜一金。

The 24-year-old was born in China's ice-and-snow capital Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. He started skating in 2004, and entered the national team in 2014 when he was 17. That same year, Ren appeared at the World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships, picking up a bronze and a gold in the 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters relay at his first international event.
