In a recording posted online, the UK’s defence secretary Ben Wallace can be heard speaking to a man in a video call, made while he was visiting Poland on Mar. 17.

Wallace revealed the hoax last week, saying he had been targeted by an "imposter" posing as the Ukrainian PM.

据卫报报道，该恶作剧通话发生于华莱士17日访问波兰期间，由俄罗斯的职业恶搞人莱克萨斯和沃万发起。日前，恶作剧者的官方账号陆续释出视频片段，并介绍称“回应一下英国国防部报道里所写的‘通话10分钟’，我们与华莱士先生的通话总共持续22分钟。而且，对谈并不是突然挂断的，而是友好地互相告别才结束。”

The prankster pair, Vovan and Lexus, claimed responsibility for the video. 

从视频中可见，华莱士在一辆行进的车中，与恶作剧者谈论了乌克兰的军事和外交局势。尤其引人注目的是，双方还就支持乌克兰研发或获取核武器的问题进行了讨论。

In the published footage, which lasts around a minute, Wallace, shown in a car, is asked questions about an alleged nuclear weapons programme for Ukraine.

当恶作剧者提出“希望继续讨论核计划，以保护我们免受俄罗斯的伤害”时，华莱士表示“我认为比起（乌克兰）不愿意保持中立，俄罗斯会更讨厌这个做法（推动乌克兰核计划）。”

“We would like to continue the nuclear programme, in order to protect ourselves from Russia.”

“I think more than being neutral, Russia would really hate that.”

在短暂地语塞后，华莱士表示：“在这些大问题上，我需要和我的首相谈谈，原则上无论你们做出何种选择，我们都会像朋友般支持你们。你提到的任何建议，英国都会去讨论。”

“On all those bigger questions, I think those are the questions that I need to speak to my Prime Minister. The principle is we will support Ukraine as our friend in the choices you make. Any proposes you talk about, something that the UK will discuss...”



最后华莱士还是对乌克兰核计划表现出谨慎的态度：“无论是你们想要获得核武器，还是你们谋求研发核武器，我想我都会非常谨慎对待这些问题。因为我们在《不扩散核武器条约》上签过字，所以我们不能被别人看见，在做那种事。那就是个完全不同的议题了，所以我认为你们务必非常小心。”

“... on your acquisition of nuclear, or you think you want to explore nuclear weapon. I think I would just be very careful about all of that. I think we are a signature of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act. We can’t be seen to be doing that. That is an entirely different issue. So I think you have to be very careful with that.”
