前两天，一则92岁老兵在北京颐和园游览时丢失抗美援朝纪念章的新闻引发网友关注。几天后，这个消息有了令人暖心的后续报道：北京退役军人事务局主动赠送了老人一枚新奖章！

A 92-year-old veteran in Beijing received a new medal last Sunday after losing his memorial medal from the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-53) at a tourist attraction.



10月24日晚，有网友发帖称，自己的爷爷刘廷珠是抗美援朝老兵，前几天在颐和园游玩的时候，将奖章别在了衣服上，结果却不慎将奖章遗失。她在微博上求助，希望大家帮忙寻找奖章。

The veteran, Liu Tingzhu, is a retiree living in Beijing and was a Chinese People's Volunteers soldier who took part in the war 70 years ago. Liu accidentally lost the medal while visiting the Summer Palace last Saturday. The story about Liu's loss drew widespread attention and millions of reposts on Sina Weibo after his granddaughter posted a message on the platform seeking help.

了解到这一情况后，北京退役军人事务局主动赠送了老人一枚新奖章。25日晚10点，老人在位于西二旗的家中收到了新奖章。

After learning about the problem, the bureau of veteran affairs in Beijing offered Liu a new medal, and he received it at his home last Sunday night.

据报道，老人丢失奖章后心情十分低落，晚上也睡不好觉。拿到新奖章，刘廷珠和家属非常兴奋，“老爷子真的太高兴了，你们送的不是奖章，是老爷子的长寿。”

One of his family members said he is extremely delighted, and what the bureau offered is more than just a medal — the happiness from receiving it could help promote his longevity.

“虽然老人是黑龙江户籍，奖章也是黑龙江发放的，但是既然来了北京，就是我们的服务对象。国家在发放奖章的时候也考虑得非常周到，都有几枚富余的奖章，我们就拿出一枚送给老人。”北京市退役军人事务局思想政治和权益维护处副处长金刚说，“给老爷子送来新奖章，就是想让老人放心，如果公园方找到了丢失的奖章，再将奖章还回即可。”

Jin Gang, an official of the bureau, said though Heilongjiang province, where Liu is from, should have handled the issue — as the medal was granted by the province — the bureau in Beijing wanted to help the veteran since he now lives in the capital. "The country is very considerate when granting the medals, and as there are a few extra ones that were made, we gave one of them to Liu." Jin explained. "If the missing medal is found, the replacement should be returned."

无独有偶，10月24日，河北张家口93岁志愿军老战士张万金老人拿着刚领回的抗美援朝纪念章和中华人民共和国成立70周年纪念章，准备到照相馆拍照留念，却不慎将两枚勋章丢失。几天来，老人心急如焚，懊悔不已。

原来，老人在去照相的路上把装纪念章的袋子遗失。照相馆附近的一家商店老板王润财介绍，上周六早上9点左右，在门口象棋台上看到了两个纪念章和一张照片，随后在其朋友圈和微信群发了多次启事，朋友圈内有人给发了电话才联系上。

据报道，当时，正有记者在采访老人。在采访过程中，老人儿子接到电话，说找到了！老人得知消息，激动得落泪。
