4月29日，长征五号B遥二运载火箭搭载空间站天和核心舱，在海南文昌航天发射场发射升空。中国空间站建造任务实施阶段成功开启。按计划，中国将于2022年完成空间站在轨建造。天和核心舱作为空间站组合体控制和管理主份舱段，具备交会对接、转位与停泊、乘组长期驻留、航天员出舱、保障空间科学实验能力（戳这里了解详情）。

China on Thursday sent into space the core module of its space station, kicking off a series of key launch missions that aim to complete the construction of the station by the end of next year. The Long March-5B Y2 rocket, carrying the Tianhe module, blasted off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on the coast of the southern island province of Hainan. Tianhe will act as the management and control hub of the space station Tiangong, meaning Heavenly Palace, with a node that could dock with up to three spacecraft at a time for short stays, or two for long.

“空间站”的英文是Space Station。中国空间站是中国独立自主建造运营的载人空间站，由天和核心舱(core module)、问天实验舱(lab capsule)、梦天实验舱三个舱段构成。天和核心舱是空间站的管理和控制中心，是发射入轨的第一个空间站舱段。
