据新华社10月28日报道，住房和城乡建设部、应急管理部近日发布通知，要求各地严格控制新建超高层建筑，实行超高层建筑决策责任终身制。通知要求，城区常住人口300万以上城市严格限制新建250米以上超高层建筑，不得新建500米以上超高层建筑。相关建筑设计应考量防火及抗震表现。

China has restricted cities from building super high-rises, reported Xinhua on Oct 28. A notice issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said that in cities with an urban population of above 3 million, the construction of buildings above 500 meters is banned. Buildings taller than 250 meters can only be built under strict restrictions. For example, the construction plans should be reviewed for fire safety and seismic performance. Those who approve super high-rise projects will take lifelong responsibility.

*根据我国建筑相关规定，超高层建筑指40层以上或高度100米以上的建筑物。超高层建筑还可以表达为super-tall building或skyscraper (摩天大楼)。
