School bells were replaced by police sirens last Tuesday after a shooting at Michigan's Oxford High School left four students dead. Seven other students and a teacher were wounded by gunfire. A 15-year-old suspect is in custody and has been charged as an adult, authorities said.

Authorities recovered multiple shell casings in the school and believe around 15-20 shots were fired. The sheriff's office is still investigating the incident and have not shared the motive for the deadly shooting.

James and Jennifer Crumbley were charged last Friday with four counts each of homicide involuntary manslaughter following the deadly school shooting. Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said James Crumbley bought the gun four days before it was used in the shooting.

枪击案发生的当晚，克伦布利的父母以安全为由离开居住地，两人的律师声称此举并非逃跑。美国法警局、奥克兰县逃犯搜寻队、底特律警察局等部门开展搜捕，并于4日清晨将他们逮捕。

Two attorneys working with Jennifer and James Crumbley said the couple left town on the night of the shooting “for their own safety” and are not fleeing.They were arrested Saturday in Detroit after an hours-long search, authorities said.

4日上午，詹姆斯和詹妮弗在狱中通过视频方式出席奥克兰县法院的传讯，两人对“非自愿过失杀人”的指控表示“不认罪”。法官将詹姆斯和詹妮弗每人的保释金额裁定为50万美元，而伊桑则是不允许被保释的。

US Rep. Thomas Massie is drawing criticism after tweeting a photo of him and his family holding guns in front of a Christmas tree, just days after four teenagers were killed in a school shooting in Michigan. Merry Christmas!, ps. Santa, please bring ammo," read the Saturday tweet by the Republican representative from Kentucky, which showed everyone in the photo holding various types of guns.
