据新华社援引朝中社12日报道，朝鲜国家紧急防疫部门本月8日对平壤一些有发烧症状的患者进行抽样检测后发现，有人感染了奥密克戎病毒。这是自新冠疫情在全球多地暴发以来，朝鲜首次报告在本土发现新冠确诊病例。

 

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Thursday confirmed its first-ever COVID-19 case in over two years, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. The state media said samples were collected from a group of patients in the capital on Sunday and a subvariant of the highly transmissible Omicron version of the coronavirus, known as BA.2, was detected.

据朝中社13日消息，4月底以来，不明原因发热在朝鲜全国范围内爆发式蔓延，短时间内导致的发热病例超过35万例，其中16.22万例已经治愈。报道称，12日朝鲜全国范围内新增发热病例1.8万例，6人死亡（其中包括一名新冠肺炎确诊病例），目前共有18.78万人正在接受隔离治疗。

 

A fever whose cause couldn't be identified explosively spread nationwide from late April, and more than 350,000 people got fever "in a short span of time" and at least 162,200 of them recovered completely. On Thursday alone, some 18,000 persons with fever occurred nationwide. So far, up to 187,800 people are being isolated and treated, with six dead (one of them tested positive for the BA.2 sub-variant of Omicron), it said.

 

朝鲜劳动党12日紧急召开劳动党政治局会议，决定把新冠防疫措施提至最高级别。

 

朝鲜劳动党总书记金正恩在会上强调要采取紧急措施彻底阻断新冠病毒传播，要加强边界管控，在全国各市县进行彻底封锁，各单位要在闭环状态下组织经营生产活动。他还要求卫生部门和应急防疫部门进行严格密集筛查，健全医学监测和积极治疗措施。金正恩说，党和政府各级机关要采取周全措施，尽量减少人民群众在严密防控措施下的不便和麻烦，稳定生活秩序。

 

Kim Jong-un, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on Thursday urged the public to implement "maximum emergency" prevention measures, KCNA reported.

 

According to the report, Kim told an emergency politburo meeting that "the goal was to eliminate the root within the shortest period of time." At the meeting, Kim called for tighter border controls and lockdown measures, telling citizens "to completely block the spread of the malicious virus by thoroughly blocking their areas in all cities and counties across the country" and asking officials to prevent transmissions and eliminate the infection source as fast as possible.
