Samantha Cristoforetti, the first Italian female astronaut in space, posted the photos taken from space and the Chinese sentences on her Twitter account on Wednesday during her mission at the International Space Station. It's a quotation from Lanting Xu, also known as the "Orchid Pavilion Preface." It is generally considered the best-known work in Chinese calligraphy history. It was written nearly 1,700 years ago by noted calligrapher Wang Xizhi during the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317–420).

今年4月，克里斯托福雷蒂同其他几名美国航天员乘坐SpaceX公司开发的“龙”飞船升空，再次前往国际空间站。7月21日，克里斯托弗雷蒂执行第一次太空行走任务，成为第一位进行舱外活动的欧洲女宇航员。

 

SpaceX launched an international crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).  Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti of ESA entered the space for seven hours. This was the first for Cristoforetti, who has now become the first European woman conducted a spacewalk, said NASA.
