自从阿根廷队和梅西确认来华比赛后，球迷们就一直热情高涨，比赛门票价格不菲却一票难求。

Since the match between Argentina and Australia was announced in May, the anticipation for the game went drastically high, and thousands of fans were expecting a ticket for the game. Tickets for Thursday's game at the 68,000-capacity Workers' Stadium have sold out rapidly despite soaring prices, with Chinese fans desperate to see Messi in the flesh.

梅西于6月10日抵达北京，他和阿根廷队的队员们受到了球迷的热情欢迎，相关话题不断刷屏。在11日当天，甚至一度传出梅西被迫宅在酒店、取消训练的消息。不过好在，一度稍显混乱的秩序随后缓解，球队球员的出行、后续训练等安排相继完成。

 

However, a training event scheduled for Sunday evening at the National Olympic Sports Center in Beijing was canceled after a large number of "outrageously passionate" fans waited outside the hotel. The team, particularly the stellar Messi, was "unable to leave the hotel," the friendly's organizers said to the media. Photos and videos show the team eventually trained on Sunday night.

“Messi” soon became the top trending topic on Chinese social media platform Weibo, while video footage showed hundreds of fans swarming the team’s hotel entrance in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idol.

*Mania在英文中是狂热的意思。Fever pitch指的是一种非常兴奋激动的状态（a state of intense excitement and agitation），而pitch本身就含有“球场”的意思。
