Business rivalry seemingly isn’t enough for two of the tech industry’s most powerful billionaires. Now Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg say they want to settle their scores in a cage fight.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, plans to launch its short-form blogging service in mid-July, according to a new report from technology website the Verge. The website is known as Project 92 internally at could be launched to consumers this summer with the name Threads.
Quite who would win in a cage fight, however, remains to be seen. Musk is physically bigger than Zuckerberg, but the Meta chief practices jiu-jitsu, the Brazilian martial art, and won gold and silver in a tournament in May.
两相比较,马斯克没有啥战绩,他也拿自己的“格斗技巧”和日常锻炼开涮,也许暗示约架一事不可当真。
Musk joked about his fighting skills and workout routine, suggesting that the fight may not be serious.
“我这个不赖的技术动作称之为‘海象’,就是躺在对手身上然后啥也不干。”
“I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” Musk wrote.
Whether or not Musk and Zuckerberg actually make it to the ring has yet to be seen — especially as Musk often tweets about action prematurely or without following through. But, even if their cage match agreement is all a joke, the banter gained attention.
