Blood isn’t the only thing that makes a family in the new TV series Go Ahead. Starring actors Tan Songyun, Song Weilong and Zhang Xincheng, the series has won praises with a high score of 8.9 on Douban after premiering in August. The story is about an alternative family with three children unrelated by blood and two fathers. Suffering inner wounds in their native (原生的) families, the three children yearn for love and support each other, fix personal issues and finally become better versions of themselves. “We hope it helps audiences understand how to deal with family relationships and cherish the moment and families,” the series’ director Ding Ziguang told Chinanews.
