据美国全国广播公司（NBC）新闻网站报道，当地警长要求删除科比遇难照片，防止广泛流传。
 


洛杉矶县警长Alex Villanueva表示，他要求8名警员删除当时科比和女儿以及其他7名遇难者的照片，避免这些照片流传开来。

LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said he ordered eight deputies to delete graphic photos of the helicopter crash that took the lives of Kobe Bryant, Bryant's daughter and seven others to avoid the risk of the photos being shared and possibly becoming public.

“这是我的首要任务，确保这些照片不复存在，” Villanueva接受NBC新闻网采访时表示，“我们确认了涉事警员，他们自行来到警局承认拍摄了照片，随后删除。”

"That was my No. 1 priority, was to make sure those photos no longer exist," Villanueva told NBC News. "We identified the deputies involved, they came to the station on their own and had admitted they had taken them and they had deleted them. "

He said he learned the week of the crash that as many as eight deputies had taken, seen, or exchanged the photos.

"We've communicated in no uncertain terms that the behavior is inexcusable," Villanueva said. "I mean, people are grieving for the loss of their loved ones. To have that on top of what they've already gone through is unconscionable."

警方此前得知，有人在酒吧中无意间听到，某人在和酒保聊天中透露自己有事故现场的照片。另有消息显示，还有人透露自己看到过遇难者遗体的照片。在得知这些报道后，警方开始了内部调查。

The sheriff's department was alerted to the photos by someone who overheard a conversation at a bar between a bartender and a person who claimed to have photos from the accident scene, Villanueva said. While another source said they saw a picture of the victims’ remains. After the report, the sheriff’s department began an internal investigation into the existence of the pictures.

执法部门告诉NBC，至少两名消防员也拍摄了事故现场照片，也被要求删除处理。

Law enforcement sources have told NBC that at least two LA County Fire Department firefighters also took photos of the crash scene and were directed to delete them.

Villanueva表示，只有来自美国国家运输安全委员会和验尸部门的人员，才被允许拍摄事故现场的照片。

Only personnel from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the coroner's office were authorised to take photos of the crash scene, Villanueva said.

不过他也表示，目前没有明确的针对警员使用私人手机拍摄现场的政策，他计划改变现状。

Villanueva added that the sheriff's department does not have a policy that explicitly addresses deputies photographing a gruesome scene on their personal cellphones, and said he plans to change that.

针对照片泄漏事件，科比遗孀瓦妮莎上周六通过律师Gary C. Robb发表了一则声明。

Vanessa Bryant issued a statement through her attorney, Gary C. Robb, last Sunday regarding the pictures.


 
Robb在声明中表示，对于瓦妮莎来说，保护所有遇难者及家庭的尊严，是最重要的事情。

“This was of critical importance to her as she desired to protect the dignity of all the victims, and their families,” Robb said. 

声明中指出，“首批到达现场的人员本该值得信赖”，但某些警员“不可宽恕且令人愤慨”的行径，违背了他们的职责。

The statement added that “first responders should be trustworthy” and added that it was “inexcusable and deplorable that some deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s substation, other surrounding substations and LACOFD would allegedly breach their duty.”
