据新华社报道，当地时间12月2日，第76届联合国大会协商一致通过由中国和国际奥委会起草的奥林匹克休战决议，173个会员国共提该决议。

The United Nations General Assembly on Thursday adopted the Beijing Winter Olympic Truce Resolution drafted by China and co-sponsored by 173 member states.

中国常驻联合国代表张军2日表示，第76届联合国大会协商一致通过北京冬奥会奥林匹克休战决议并获得广泛支持，体现了国际社会对北京冬奥会成功举办的热情和信心。他呼吁各国坚持奥林匹克精神，维护世界团结。

Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the UN, told media after the adoption that the strong support for the resolution reflects the international community's enthusiasm and confidence in the success of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

张军说，这是中国继2008年北京奥运会休战决议后，第二次向联大提交休战决议。

It was the second time that a Chinese representative has introduced the Olympic Truce at the General Assembly, the envoy said.

决议呼吁各方通过和平和外交手段解决国际冲突，敦促各国在北京2022年冬奥会开幕前7日至北京冬残奥会闭幕后7日遵守奥林匹克休战决议。

The resolution "Building a peaceful and better world through sport and the Olympic ideal", calls on member states to promote peace, dialogue and reconciliation through sports. It also asks countries to cease hostilities from seven days before until seven days after the Olympic Games.

决议强调北京冬奥会和冬残奥会的愿景——“纯洁的冰雪，激情的约会”，旨在让奥林匹克点亮青年梦想，让冬季运动融入亿万民众，推动社会发展，创建和谐、和平和更美好世界。

在新冠疫情持续肆虐，各国经济社会发展面临诸多考验，传统和非传统安全挑战层出不穷的今天，决议特别提出要认识到体育在全球应对疫情冲击能力建设方面的作用，强调北京冬奥会将是展现人类团结、韧性和国际合作宝贵价值的契机。

The highlight of China's resolution is that it "adds the Beijing 2022 visions and ideals for the Games and sends a powerful message of unity and cooperation in overcoming the pandemic", Zhang said.

“奥林匹克休战”是国际奥委会根据古希腊奥林匹克神圣休战传统而设计的一项和平运动。1993年，第48届联大首次审议并通过奥林匹克休战决议。此后历届奥运会、冬奥会主办国都向联大提交奥林匹克休战决议。

据央视新闻报道，12月3日上午，国务院新闻办公室召开发布会，介绍北京冬奥会和冬残奥会最新筹办进展。北京冬奥会和冬残奥会运行指挥部调度中心执行主任闫成介绍，北京2022年冬奥会计划于2月4日开幕，2月20日闭幕；冬残奥会计划于3月4日开幕，3月13日闭幕。目前各项准备工作已经就绪。

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will start on Feb 4, while the Paralympics will kick off on March 4 in three competition zones－downtown Beijing, its northwest Yanqing district and co-host city Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.

据介绍，在场馆和基础设施方面，12个竞赛场馆全部完工，通过国际冬季单项体育组织认证，全面具备办赛条件。在赛会服务保障方面，餐饮、住宿、医疗、交通等赛会服务，坚持“三个赛区，一个标准”。

According to the Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee, there are six major focuses of the preparatory work in the following months, including promoting construction of the venues and infrastructure in a steady manner, refining competition organization and venue operation and strengthening support services.

北京冬奥组委新闻宣传部部长、北京市委宣传部常务副部长赵卫东表示，高度关注变异毒株奥密克戎的相关情况，正在持续观察和评估其可能对北京冬奥会产生的影响。

"We have been paying close attention to the development of the Omicron coronavirus variant and evaluating its possible influence on the Beijing Winter Olympics," said Zhao Weidong, director of the Media and Communications Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee.
