推特可以说是美国总统特朗普最常用的发言渠道之一，不过这几天特朗普和推特却突然杠上了！

特朗普于白宫椭圆办公室签署了这一命令，签署前他称，此举是为了“捍卫言论自由，使其免遭美国历史上最严重的危险之一”。

 

Speaking from the Oval Office ahead of signing the order, U.S. President Donald Trump said the move was to "defend free speech from one of the gravest dangers it has faced in American history."

"A small handful of social media monopolies controls a vast portion of all public and private communications in the United States," he claimed. "They've had unchecked power to censor, restrict, edit, shape, hide, alter, virtually any form of communication between private citizens and large public audiences."

 

但CNN报道指出，美国左右两派的法律专家都对这项提案表示严重关切。他们认为，这可能会违反宪法。俄勒冈州民主党参议员罗恩·怀登说：“（特朗普）试图窃取联邦法院和国会改写既定法律的权力。他根据自己的利益来决定什么是合法的。”

 

But legal experts on both the right and the left have raised serious concerns about the proposal. They say it may be unconstitutional. "(Trump) is trying to steal for himself the power of the courts and Congress to rewrite decades of settled law," said Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, the architect of the legislation that the order seeks to reinterpret. "He decides what's legal based on what's in his interest."

特朗普推文被打警告标签

 

本周二，推特曾把特朗普当天两条有关邮寄总统选举选票的推文，打上了“事实核查”的警告标签。

特朗普当天发布了两条推文，质疑邮寄选票的合法性。他写道，加利福尼亚州向“所有居民”分发邮寄选票，可能导致舞弊，因为“邮箱会失窃、选票会遭伪造甚至非法印刷”。

 

美国总统选举定于11月举行，特朗普准备竞选连任。加州本月初宣布将向本州选民分发可邮寄的选票，以保证新冠疫情下投票率和选民健康。其他多州打算采取类似做法。

 

随后，推特平台在每条推文下面都给出一个以感叹号开头的蓝色字体链接，写着“了解有关邮寄选票的事实”。

 

 

点开链接，可以看见标题为“特朗普无确凿依据地声称邮寄选票会导致选举舞弊”的公告，正文援引美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）、《华盛顿邮报》等媒体的报道和多名专家的言论，纠正特朗普有关邮寄选票的说法。

 

When a user browses these tweets, a link from Twitter shows "Get the facts about mail-in ballots," then leads to tweets and articles debunking the president's statements.

 

 

同时，下面还“贴心”的准备了科普环节，对特朗普的一些说法逐一批驳：

 

·特朗普宣称分发邮寄选票，可能导致“选举被操控”。

然而，没有证据显示这样的选举方式与舞弊相关。

In order to limit the spread of potentially harmful and misleading content, starting on March 11, Twitter introduced new labels and warning messages on some tweets containing disputed or misleading information. "We will continue to introduce new labels to provide context around different types of unverified claims and rumors as needed," Twitter has said in an earlier statement. 

 

据CNN报道，推特方面并没有说明是谁生成了这一信息待核实页面，也没有说明是否是通过算法生成。

 

Twitter did not immediately respond to questions about who assembled the fact-checking page or whether it was algorithmically generated.

 

特朗普“连环炮”瞄准推特

 

不过，推特这一波操作直接惹怒特朗普！

 

特朗普随后连发推文，指认推特以CNN和《华盛顿邮报》等媒体的“假新闻”为依据认定他的说法有误，是“干预总统选举、完全扼杀言论自由”。特朗普称，作为总统，他“不会允许这样的事发生”。

 

  　　

27日，特朗普还在一条没有具体点名的推文中写道：“共和党人认为，社交媒体平台完全扼杀了保守派的声音。在这种情况发生之前，我们将严格监管或直接关闭它们。”

 

 

CNN报道还指出，特朗普决定警告推特，尽管实际上包括推特在内的几大社交媒体平台都允许他和他的团队发布未经证实的怀疑论调，对此几乎没有限制。

值得注意的是，脸书CEO马克·扎克伯格在接受福克斯新闻《每日简报》节目采访时，表达了与推特不同的态度，他说私营数字平台不应当成为“事实仲裁者”。

 

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has called out Twitter for attaching a fact check to a tweet from President Trump, telling Fox News' Dana Perino that privately-owned digital platforms should not act as the "arbiter of truth."

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey says that labeling two of President Donald Trump's tweets with fact checks does not make the social media company an "arbiter of truth." The Twitter executive's remarks also came just hours after Fox News posted part of an interview due to air Thursday with Mark Zuckerberg, in which the Facebook CEO explained why his company did not take action on Trump's false posts about mail-in ballots.
