非裔美国人弗洛伊德被白人警察涉嫌暴力执法致死一事，引发全美各地抗议，事态不断升级，部分地区甚至出现打砸抢烧等暴力行为。

 

当地时间6月1日，遭暴力执法致死的乔治·弗洛伊德的弟弟，特伦斯·弗洛伊德（Terrence Floyd）首次来到哥哥遇害现场参加悼念仪式，并向抗议示威人群发表演讲，呼吁不要付诸暴力，应改变抗争方式，用手中的选票说话。

 

George Floyd's brother Terrence Floyd has pleaded for peace at a prayer vigil at the site of his brother’s murder in Minneapolis on Monday, where he called for protesters to “do this another way…and vote”.

In a passionate speech calling for peace, Terrence said: “I understand you’re upset, but I doubt you’re half as upset as I am. So if I’m not over here blowing up stuff, if I’m not over here messing up my community, then what are you doing?”

Y'all are doing nothing – because that's not going to bring my brother back at all.

 

 

之后他表示，自己和家人当然很难过，但不会这样做（暴力示威），“我们不要再重蹈覆辙了。每次警察暴力执法，都会进入同样的循环。你们抗议，你们打砸东西，但他们却不为所动。因为被打砸的不是他们的东西，是我们的东西。他们就是想让我们自毁家园。”

We are not going to be repetitious. In every case of police brutality the same thing has been happening. Y'all protest, y'all destroy stuff and they don’t move，because it’s not their stuff it’s our stuff, so they want us to destroy our stuff.

 

 

他还呼吁大家要用手中选票说话，“让我们换种方式发声。不要再认为我们的声音不重要，然后去投票吧！不仅仅是总统或国会议员投票，每个层级都要投票。”

Let's do this another way. Let's stop thinking that our voice don't matter and vote. Not just vote for the president, vote for the preliminaries, vote for everybody.

而在前一天，一则美国“老、中、青”三代非裔男子在抗议现场激烈争论的视频，也在社交媒体上传开，引发网友热议。

视频一开始，年龄最大（45岁）的非裔男子情绪激动，表示已经受够了美国歧视黑人的社会现状，“我们总得站出来团结在一起，没有人会来保护我们。”

 

 

在他身旁，另一位31岁的非裔男子先是表示自己理解他的心情，之后他拉来边上仅16岁的非裔少年说道：“他才16岁，他才16岁啊！这样不是办法！”

 

得知这名少年才16岁，人群中出现了零星的惊叹声，有人说“他会被杀死”。31岁男子继续表示，“美国总统说了，‘有人抢劫，我们就开枪！’你觉得这些还有用吗？”

The United States’ president said ‘if you loot, we shoot’. Do you think this is going to help? 

 

 

45岁的男子依然无法抑制愤怒，喊道：“但现在是时候站出来了，我已经准备好赴死了!”

 

 

听到这里，31岁的非裔男子既激动又绝望，声音哽咽地对16岁少年发出了肺腑之言：

 

 “你现在看到的一切，在10年后还会发生。你26岁的时候，会做和我正在做的一样的事。”

What you see right now, it’s going to happen 10 years from now. And at 26, you gonna be doing the same thing I’m doing now.

 

 

“16岁的你现在应该做的事，是想出更好的解决方法。因为我们的方法不管用。”

What I need y’all to do right now at 16, is to come up with a better way. Cause how we’re doing it, it ain’t working.

He’s angry at 46, I’m angry at 31, and you’re angry at 16.

 

 

最后，他劝导少年保护好自己，希望年轻人能找到更好的办法来改变这一切。

 

“你明白吗？将你自己置于危险之地不是解决问题的办法！你和你有一样力量的同龄人，你们要想出更好的办法啊，因为我们什么都没做成。”

Putting yourself in harm’s way is not the way. You and other of your counterparts at the same age has that same power. Y’all come up with a better way, cause we ain’t doing it.

当地时间29日，奥巴马已针对“弗洛伊德之死”表态，他称这样的杀戮“在2020年不该是正常的。（This shouldn’t be ‘normal’ in 2020 America.） ”。

 

 

在声明中他表示，“随着一场大流行病和经济危机颠覆了周围的一切，人们希望生活’回归正常’。然而我们要记住，对数百万美国人而言，因种族而被区别对待已成为一种’常态’，悲剧的、痛苦的，也是令人愤怒的'常态’。无论是和医疗保健系统或是与刑事司法系统打交道时，或是在街上慢跑，或只是在公园里看鸟，都存在这样的’常态’。

 

"It’s natural to wish for life 'to just get back to normal' as a pandemic and economic crisis upend everything around us. But we have to remember that for millions of Americans, being treated differently on account of race is tragically, painfully, maddeningly ’normal’— whether it’s while dealing with the health care system, or interacting with the criminal justice system, or jogging down the street, or just watching birds in a park."
